1. Purpose
QnS Academy London provides online Islamic education using digital platforms. This policy explains how students, parents, staff and teachers should use online platforms safely and respectfully. This policy should be read alongside the QnS Academy London Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.
2. Online safety principles
- Behave respectfully online.
- Protect personal information.
- Do not share private class links.
- Use approved communication channels.
- Report inappropriate behaviour.
- Respect intellectual boundaries by not recording or screenshotting live sessions without explicit instructor permission, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
3. Student rules
- Join classes using the approved name.
- Arrive on time and dress appropriately.
- Use respectful language.
- Keep microphones muted unless speaking.
- Do not disrupt the lesson or share inappropriate content.
- Do not send harmful or distracting private messages.
4. Parent responsibilities
- Ensure children join from a safe and suitable environment.
- Know when children are attending online classes.
- Support technical access where needed.
- Ensure children follow online class rules.
- Inform QnS Academy London of safeguarding or wellbeing concerns.
5. Teacher responsibilities
- Use approved QnS Academy London platforms.
- Maintain professional boundaries.
- Avoid unnecessary private communication with children.
- Report concerns promptly.
- Manage online behaviour fairly and respectfully.
6. Messaging groups
Academy-associated groups (including WhatsApp, Telegram, or similar community messaging rooms) must be utilized strictly for course-related coordination, peer support, and institutional updates. Irrelevant links, spam, advertising, personal arguments, or inappropriate comments are strictly prohibited. Unauthorised private messaging between adult staff and minors outside designated portal channels is prohibited to protect the professional safety boundaries outlined in our Safeguarding Policy.
7. Account Security
Students, parents, teachers, and administrative staff are strictly responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of their login credentials. Account passwords, live session access keys, and learning portal credentials must not be shared with unauthorised individuals under any circumstances.
8. Breaches
QnS Academy London reserves the right to issue formal warnings, temporarily suspend digital access, remove users permanently from communication rooms, or terminate enrolment where serious or repeated breaches of this policy occur. Any suspension, removal, cancellation, or refund decision will be handled in accordance with the QnS Academy London Terms and Conditions and Return and Refund Policy.
