1. Purpose
This policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for QNS Academy London courses, classes, programmes, digital learning resources and related educational services.
2. Nature of Services
QNS Academy London provides educational services, including online Islamic courses, live classes, children's programmes, adult programmes, recorded content, digital resources and related learning support. As services may include reserved class places, live teaching and digital access, refunds are handled according to the rules below.
3. Refund Eligibility
- A refund will be issued if QNS Academy London cancels the course or is unable to provide the paid service.
- A refund will be issued if a duplicate payment has been made or a payment was taken in error.
- A refund may be considered where a student requests a cancellation in writing before the course begins, subject to Section 5.
4. Non-refundable Cases
- Refunds are not provided once a student has accessed digital course materials, recordings, or private learning resources, as this constitutes consumption of the digital service.
- Refunds are not provided once the student has attended live classes.
- Refunds will not be issued for missed classes caused by student absence, lateness, personal internet/device issues, or personal circumstances.
- Refunds will not be issued if a student is suspended or removed from the platform due to serious or repeated misconduct, as outlined in our Terms and Conditions.
5. Cancellation Before Course Start
Cancellation requests must be made in writing to info@theqnsacademy.com at least 48 hours before the scheduled course start date. Approved refunds for early cancellations may be subject to a deduction for non-recoverable payment processing fees (e.g., Stripe/PayPal charges) and a minor administrative handling fee.
6. Cancellation After Course Start
Once a course has commenced, refunds are not available because class places, teacher time, resources, and access arrangements have already been allocated. By accessing the course materials or joining a live session, you explicitly agree to waive your statutory 14-day right to cancel under UK consumer law.
7. Refund Processing Timeline
Approved refunds will usually be processed within 7 to 10 working days from the date the refund is approved. The time taken for funds to appear in the customer's account may depend on the bank, card provider or payment provider.
8. Refund Method
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method, unless QNS Academy London agrees otherwise.
9. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email info@theqnsacademy.com with the full name, student name if different, course name, payment date, amount paid, reason for refund request and proof of payment if available.
10. Exceptional Circumstances & Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy affects any statutory rights that consumers hold under applicable consumer protection laws in England and Wales. QNS Academy London may, at its sole discretion, consider unique refund requests outside these parameters under documented exceptional circumstances; however, any such decision shall be strictly non-precedent-setting.
